Teacher Tactics
Classroom Must-Haves
Between the both of us we have over 40 years of classroom experience. One thing that is for sure about maintaining a classroom is that you never seem to have enough supplies. Maybe you are just starting out. Maybe you are a veteran teacher. Maybe you are trying to set up an at-home classroom for distance learning. Whatever your scenario is, look no further. We will share products, suggest uses, and provide direct links for where to buy them.
Do I even have to say more? Who doesn't love a good flair pen?
I find that storing all my markers with the tip down is best. This keeps the ink in contact with the felt/fiber tip so that they don't dry out.
The uses are endless, but I mostly use them on sticky notes that I give out to students as tangible reminders for lesson objectives, mini anchor charts for reading and writing workshop teaching points, and for individual feedback. For example, during a writing conference I may doodle on a sticky note and give a piece of positive feedback (Glow) and a strategy to try out to improve upon (Grow).
