Mindfulness

The pitter-patter of paws on the floor has always been part of my life. If you have a fur baby you know the company lately has been CONSTANT! I wouldn't change it for anything though. About a year and a half ago I learned about Pet Partners. I completed a therapy animal course through them and have become a certified animal therapy team with my 5-year-old chihuahua, Jingles. He was part of a litter born on Christmas day. His siblings are Cane, Holly, and Nicholas. Adorable, right? In summer 2019 we attended UCONN’S anesthesiology intern’s weekly didactic meetings. Jingles was a hit!

In January 2020, Jingles and I signed up to be an animal therapy team at the Farmington Public Library’s Read with Me program. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, this is all on hold. Pet Partner’s mission is to improve human health and well-being through the human-animal bond. During these uncertain times, they are still living this mission.

is continuing its mission during Covid-19
